“I would like to thank you all for all your efforts you put into this Hopi Head Start Children’s Project. Every year it is our goal to meet these children’s needs and thanks to you all we have met one of our goals. We serve low income families in our program and in their enrollment application there is one portion called the family portfolio and in there they indicate their needs and most of it is usually food and clothing. Some of them put housing, but for that we can only provide resources on where to lead them. If our program had the funding I’m sure we’d definitely meet their needs in getting them a home built as well. Families out here are multiple families in one household and is usually a hard situation. But I am so happy and so grateful that you all helped us to meet one of our needs. Without people like you we wouldn’t have done this alone. I believe this is the first ever that we have met this goal.”

We also shipped coats, sweatsuits, gloves, socks, mittens directly from supplier after extensive research. Local shoppers were generous in buying learning games for the kids. - We were blessed with a window of good weather between storms, but the ground was very muddy and we could not drive up to some homes as in previous years.
